Maggie Shi

Welcome to my website! 

I am an assistant professor at the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy and a Faculty Research Fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research. 

In my research I study how policy decisions shape the behavior of healthcare providers and their patients, and the implications for the cost and quality of health care.

I graduated with my PhD in economics from Columbia University in 2022 and was a postdoctoral fellow in Aging and Health at the NBER in 2022-2023.
